With XPEL DAP we use vehicle-specific cutting data. Film sections are prepared before installation, avoiding the need to cut freehand with a knife directly on the vehicle paint and making the process reproducible.
A controlled workflow is essential, especially on premium new cars, sports cars and collector vehicles. Preparation, cutting, edge placement and installation are planned as one complete process.

Precut instead of cutting on paint
We use XPEL DAP vehicle-specific cutting data. The film is prepared to fit before it reaches the vehicle.
Paint condition before installation
PPF preserves the surface underneath. Contamination, deposits and relevant paint defects are therefore assessed and corrected where necessary before installation.
Coverage based on use
A daily driver, motorway car and collector vehicle have different requirements. Front-end, extended or full-body protection is therefore planned individually.
How long can PPF remain on the vehicle?
Useful service life depends on the film, care, UV exposure, mileage and operating conditions. XPEL provides a 10-year manufacturer warranty on its paint protection films. We advise based on the vehicle, use and selected product.
Is paint protection film visible?
High-quality transparent PPF is designed to remain visually discreet. Visibility depends on paint colour, edge placement, panel geometry and viewing angle.
PPF or ceramic coating – which protects better?
The systems serve different purposes: PPF provides mechanical protection against typical stone chips and abrasion, while ceramic coating mainly improves surface properties and ease of maintenance. The two can be combined effectively.
